Alex Michaelis is the founding partner of Michaelis Boyd Associates, an architectural firm renowned for key projects such as the development of 254 luxury loft-style apartments set within Battersea Power Station in London, due for completion in 2019 and The Williamsburg Hotel in Brooklyn, New York.

Alex has also led significant commercial projects for the Soho House Group including Soho House Berlin, and was instrumental in developing Soho Farmhouse in the English Oxfordshire countryside.

A chartered member of RIBA, Alex is a champion of sustainable architecture and as such, the practice has become renowned for its creative, design-led environmentally-conscious design and building techniques. His current international projects range from a new collection of residences for the luxury Sugar Beach resort in St Lucia and Clubhouse by ZO. – a comprehensive suite of wellness, lifestyle and corporate amenities and services at Rockefeller Centre, New York City.
